What fees apply to payments for my music?
Lightning payments to music carry a 10% fee, and card payments carry 5% plus Stripe's own fees.
Two rates apply, depending on how the fan pays:
- Lightning payments carry a 10% fee
- Card payments carry a 5% fee, plus Stripe's own fees
The music rate is higher than the podcast rate, which is 2% for a podcast hosted on Fountain. If you publish both music and a podcast, each is charged at its own rate rather than at a single blended one.
You can also share revenue with contributors, and the fee is taken before a payment is divided.
