To stream, yes, because the livestream is hosted here. Everything else works on a feed hosted elsewhere.
Which plan do I need?
Pro or Enterprise. Livestreams sit with video hosting, and Lite is audio only.
What do I stream with?
Whatever you already use. Fountain gives you an RTMP address and a stream key, which is what OBS, Streamyard and the rest expect.
What quality can I stream at?
Up to 1080p.
Can listeners pay me during the stream?
Yes. They can send a zap with a message, or stream payments every minute they watch. Both split automatically with your co-hosts and guests.
Do listeners need the Fountain app to watch?
No. The stream goes out on Nostr, so it plays in Fountain and in any Nostr app that supports live. Chat and payments work in Fountain.
Can I restream to YouTube and Twitch?
Not from Fountain. To be live there at the same time, put a restreamer in front of your stream.
What happens to the recording?
It is kept. Publish it to your feed as an episode, and clip it the same way as any other episode.
