Why should I publish my music on Fountain?

To get paid directly by your fans, on the open web. You own your feed, your audience and your revenue, and fans pay you with zaps, streaming payments and subscriptions.

How much does it cost?

$1 a month for one artist feed with unlimited releases. Fees apply only to what fans pay you.

Where is my music distributed?

To a public RSS feed, so Fountain and any compatible app across the open podcasting and music ecosystem can play it. Publish once and reach listeners everywhere.

How do I get paid?

Fans pay with zaps, streaming payments or subscriptions, by card or Lightning. Lightning payments arrive the moment they are sent. Card payments pay out on Stripe’s schedule.

What fees apply to payments from fans?

Lightning payments carry a 10% fee. Card payments carry a 5% fee plus Stripe’s processing fees.

Can I share revenue with contributors?

Yes. Set splits for band members, producers or engineers, and every Lightning payment is divided and sent to everyone as it arrives.

Can fans support my music in other apps?

Zaps and streaming payments work in Fountain and a growing list of apps built on open protocols. Paid subscriptions are Fountain only, for now.

How is my music protected?

Tracks carry ISRC codes and licensing metadata that prove authorship and protect your rights. That helps prevent piracy and supports takedowns or legal action if your work is used without permission.

How does my music get discovered?

Discovery is driven by fans. Likes, comments, zaps and shares help your music spread across Fountain and the open social ecosystem.
