There has been a lot of talk about carbs and sugar, mostly in fruit and honey, in the Carnivore community, but the fact remains that we do not need carbs or sugar at all, and they can cause harm.  Everyone is welcome to eat what they like, but don't think that you NEED to eat them for optimal health, or that you CAN eat them and maintain optimal health.  You don't, and you can't. I and many others have been strict Carnivores long term (10 years+) without any issues related to lack of carbs or fructose, and some much longer than that.  And of course the Inuits are living proof that you can not only survive, but thrive without any carbs, fruit, or honey whatsoever.  As did our ancestors during the Ice Ages.
