Remembering a Granny Midwife: Sally Louise Pickens Richardson

They speak about Jonnie Mae's great grandmother, granny midwife Sally Louise Pickens Richardson. Louise was born in 1868 in Georgia and naturally moved into midwifery as she attended births of other mothers around her. Family stories share that she caught over 100 babies during her time as a midwife and eventually relocated to Florida. She passed in 1972.
