The late Buddy Holly's glasses had been missing for more than 20 years when Iowa Sheriff Jerry Allen came upon them in a misfiled envelope. TAX SCAM RECORDS
In 2014 a certain record sold on ebay for $14,000. The lucky seller purchased the album at a Goodwill in New Hampshire for $1.00. As it turned out, very few copies existed because the majority of whatever had been pressed had most likely been shipped straight to a landfill by the label as a shady tax write off. Stray formed in the late sixties when it's members were barely teenagers and they landed a record deal before they reached adulthood. Ahead of their time, they found little success, even with help from multiple mobsters, but the catalogue of albums they left behind speak for themselves. Even Iron Maiden cite them as an influence. This is their story.
