If you love "Comedy Bang! Bang!"…
Earwolf
Do you love the cavalcade of insanity featured weekly on Scott Aukerman’s Comedy Bang Bang? Well you’re in luck, because many of Scott’s regular players have hilarious podcasts of their own! Check out these great shows from the CBB family.
Morning
This miniseries from the whip-smart mind of Seth Morris is like a great sketch comedy album in the form of a drive-time radio montage. The cast list alone is incredible…and yes, Bob Ducca makes an appearance.
Claudia O’Doherty: I’m Sorry I’ve Been Catfishing You
Every week on With Special Guest, Lauren Lapkus lets someone else pick the format of her show, where she appears as a guest. This episode features CBB fave Claudia O’Doherty leading Lauren on a bizarre, emotional whirlwind.
James Adomian, Maggie Maye and Ramon Rivas II
Cameron Esposito and Rhea Butcher host this weekly stand-up showcase at LA’s UCB Theater, but the show is just as much about their adorable chemistry as the sets they feature. That said, this episode has a terrific lineup headlined by the inimitable James Adomian.
Bo Bice Lives Matter
Matt Besser’s improv4humans might be the purest, most consistent improv podcast going. This episode features I4H all-stars Mary Holland, Jon Gabrus and Jessica McKenna at the top of their games.
Revolver
The title says it all: Will Hines and friends talk about the greatest rock band of all time. Don’t expect any contrarian takes in this celebration of Revolver, which features among other panelists CBB engineer extraordinaire Brett Morris.
They’re Pine, Nuts with Klaus Kendall
Big Grande (Dan Lippert, Drew Tarver, Jon Mackey and Ryan Rosenberg) play teachers at a fictional high school, broadcasting from their teacher’s lounge. Every time you think this show can’t get more insane it tops itself; highly recommended.
Being Fat with Nick Mundy and Mike “Mitch” Mitchell
Jon Gabrus can take any topic and spin gold from it (as his podcast proves weekly), but this episode on fatness with Nick Mundy and the Doughboys’ Mike Mitchell is full of real, relatable camaraderie.
Nothing To Something
Most fitness podcasts are not funny, to put it mildly, but Eugene Cordero and Ryan Stanger nail their balance of warm banter with their guests, and genuinely inspiring exercise and diet tips. This ep with Lauren Lapkus is worth it just for the “Will She Eat It?” game at the end.
Mannequin 2: On The Move
This juggernaut hosted by Paul Scheer, Jason Mantzoukas and June Diane Raphael is simply the best bad movie podcast in existence. Steve Agee guests on this look at the sequel to Mannequin, a perfect mix of cogent film critique and delightful tangents.
A Parallel Universe
Cap off your comedy marathon in the company of host par excellence Paul F. Tompkins, shrouded in the warm blanket of Eban Schletter’s piano. In this ep, Paul and his cohorts from the Bajillion Dollar Properties cast get real silly about the apocalypse.
