Genie (“Jeanne”) Corcoran started writing short stories on her Uncle Bob’s manual typewriter at the age of 8, while the grownups played poker. She hasn’t ceased writing since. First published at the age of 12 in The National Anthology of YoungAmerican Poets, Corcoran decided that word craft would shape her path through life.
