The former Deebing Creek Aboriginal Mission in Ipswich is the subject of a song released this month by local band The Leads. It is authored by Brian Bennion who plays guitar on the track and has reported on issues at Deebing Creek since 2015. He joins the show to talk about the long incubation period for this song and strong support received from other musicians including Robbie James of GANGgajang and Yothu Yindi, and multi-national award-winning didgeridoo player Dirri'Ya-Gamil Kapithun (Dee Kay).
