To begin the study on the Sermon on the Mount, we'll start with the first of the Beatitudes, Blessed are the poor in spirit. In addition, I do an overview of the Beatitudes and pull from the similar account in Luke and other biblical parallels to shed more light on the various meanings and interpretations of these passages.
