Technocracy can take many faces and could be applied in many different ways. I propose that there are two main phases to the realization of technocracy in our current world. The first is addressed in this episode through the use of a few allusions- 1984 by George Orwell, The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli, and The Panopticon Writings by Jeremy Bentham. This is the phase we find ourselves in now and it is still solidifying as we shift as a society.
