As you all know, I will be having a hysterectomy in just a few weeks. That, in and of itself, has been emotional. To top that off, I had an abnormal mammogram come back and needed further imaging. This experience upped my anxiety and sense of trauma. I found that when I reached out to people for comfort, sometimes the words offered back to me were not comforting at all.
