Today we talk with my good friend and hunting partner, Joe Wilson about planning and going on an out of state, DIY hunting trip. Much of what we talk about is related to whitetail deer hunting and what we have learned over the years on our trips to Ohio, Kansas, and Iowa. Although the contents of this podcast pertain to whitetails, the process and many of the strategies can be applied to western hunts and other big game species. During this episode, of course we talk about the planning and preparation but we really get into the specifics of how we scout and dive head first into a week hunt in unfamiliar territory. We also speak on the lessons learned, things we would do differently, and the memories made along the way.
