We tend to associate the word ‘dynasty’ with men. But in sixteenth century England, women played a no less important role in these influential families. Among the most powerful were the Howards, which produced two Queens - Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard - as well as numerous women who made their own significant contribution to Tudor life.  In this episode of Not Just the Tudors, Professor Suzannah Lipscomb talks to Dr. Nicola Clark.
