Just days after professional baseball left Kinston with the Down East Wood Ducks officially moving to Spartanburg, there was announcement by city leaders on Tuesday that brought professional baseball right back to the town with the announcement that the Down East Bird Dawgs will begin playing this coming spring at Grainger Stadium.
