On annual, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. Colorectal cancer is a disease where cells grow out of control in the colon or rectum, sometimes called colon cancer or rectal cancer depending on where it starts. According to the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the survival rate can be anywhere between 63 and 91 percent. Carole Motycka is a stage IV colorectal cancer survivor who has taken the time to talk with Kevin and Steph this week.
As a survivor, Carole has an interesting outlook on life. What is it like to be told by doctors that the type of cancer you have is inoperable and you probably have only 6 months to live? Carole’s life was never the same and her journey to survival is inspirational, including a liver donor and a caring community.

‘Tell Us a Good Story’ is a HIGHLY entertaining podcast that will leave listeners feeling inspired, encouraged, and motivated. Kevin and Stephanie Mason talk about their crazy (and hilarious) experiences from 15+ years of marriage, plus swap fascinating behind-the-scenes type stories with some amazing guests. This podcast will also give you, the listener, an opportunity to share your own story with Kevin, Stephanie, and their audience. The only criteria is 1) it’s gotta be good and 2) its gotta be clean. If interested in being a guest on a future episode, you can submit your story at kevinandsteph.com on the ‘Contact Us’ page
