Thank you for tuning in. I am Matt Campbell and welcome to the 43rd episode of the Wedding Songs Podcast. Today I am going to be talking about the Hot 50 Wedding Song picks for March 2021. These are great songs that you can add to your wedding day playlist. If you prefer to read the list you can do so on our website MyWeddingSongs.com. Just go to charts and Hot 50 songs. Unfortunately, we do not have the copyrights to the songs so we cannot sample them. If you would like to listen to the songs, go to the website and there is a Spotify list at the bottom of the page. If you have any questions about any songs on the list you can reach out to me on the MyWeddingSongs.com website. While you are there make sure you sign up for our monthly newsletter so you can get all of the new wedding songs released in the prior month. Also, get unique ideas as well.
Without further ado let’s go ahead and get started with the first song on the list starting with number 50. A great father-daughter dance song, “My Girl” by The Temptations released on December 21, 1964. Even if you don’t have it as a father-daughter dance song, it makes for a great slow song during the reception just because you will hit mass appeal to most people in the room. Number 49 is “Chasing After You” by the married couple Ryan Hurd and Maren Morris. As far as I know, this is the first song they have released together. It is a great love song you can play released on February 12, 2021. Now it does have a mixed tempo so I like it better as a background song but you can play it as a dance song. At number 48 is “Just The Way” by Parmalee and Blanco Brown, released December 13, 2019. This song makes for a great background song during cocktail hour or dinner. It will definitely keep the mood up. At number 47 is a new Country love song that is becoming a popular first dance song. It is “Made For You” by Jake Owen released on March 29, 2019. I did say it makes for a great first dance song but it is slow enough that you could have it as a processional or recessional song as well.
At number 46 is another up-tempo Country song that makes for a great background song. It is “Soul” by Lee Brice which was released on November 6, 2020. Number 45 is “Holy” by Justin Bieber and Chance The Rapper, released on September 18, 2020. This is a Pop love song that you could play at the reception. At number 44 is a great girl anthem song that you could play as a bouquet toss song or during the reception to get all of the ladies singing along. It is “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls which was released on July 8, 1996. Number 43 is “Lady” by Brett Young, released May 1, 2020. The song describes a guy raising his daughter to be like his wife, and to try to be a lady. Makes for a great father-daughter song or even a mother-daughter dance song as well. At number 42 is the biggest winner at the Grammys and it is Billie Eilish with her hit “Bad Guy” released March 29, 2019. The original is a little bit somber but it is one that you could play (with the right remix) as a party dance song.
Speaking of a party song, at 41 is “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj released on July 28, 2014. This is a party song for all of the females in attendance at your wedding reception. The 40th most popular song is Luke Combs with “Forever After All” released on October 23, 2020. This is a popular Country love song you could add to your wedding or your reception.
