This recording was gathered on a clear spring day at the confluence of two mountain streams high in the upper watershed of the Middle Fork of the Sacramento River. It was a very warm day for this time of year in the mountains, and a soft breeze blew through the pine and fir trees looming above while birds sang cheerily and flying insects buzzed around.  There is some air traffic on this recording.
