Confidence was at an all-time low and suddenly, homeschooling was not just for fundies, zealots, hippies, and conspiracy theorists. Parents began to see it for what it was all along: a reasonable course of action for the education of their children. But is homeschooling the best option? Should we be encouraging parents to educate their children when most of them are not trained educators? What about socialization and extracurricular activities?
