Renee Turner (she/her) and Zac Bligh (he/him), owners of Tell Your Friends Cafe on Bowen Island are joining us this week to share the process of opening and operating a small (350sq ft!) cafe within a tightly meshed island community. We ask them where the inspiration for the cafe and plant-based menu came from, what funding or assistance they needed to open the cafe and what it’s been like joining a new (to them) community as a young family.
