House Bill 79 and Senate Bill 11 called "North Carolina Work and Save" would set up savings plans workers can voluntarily contribute to with automatic withdrawals from their paychecks. The proposal builds wealth and creates a new employee perk for businesses that may have few workers and don’t need the administrative hassle.
