Welcome to episode 59 of the Wedding Songs Podcast. I am Matt Campbell and today I am going to be talking about the Hot 50 Wedding Songs of November 2021. What I am doing, is I am going out to all of the streaming services and finding out what the most popular songs are. I am looking at the charts like Billboard and all the places, and saying “Hey” what are the great songs that are on these charts that would be perfect for weddings? Then I am compiling a list of the top 50 songs to play at weddings. So these are my top 50 picks. If you have never listened to the podcast before, unfortunately, I don’t play any of the songs live because of copyright laws. So the top 50 is in alphabetical order by song so I am going to start with the A’s and work my way through to the bottom. Let's go ahead and get started with the first song on our list which is “A-O-K” by Tai Verdes released May 6, 2021. This is considered the Alternative Rock genre and makes for a great song to play during dinner or cocktail hour because a lot of the people will be singing along to this song. Number 2 is “Adore You” by Harry Styles released December 6, 2019. This is another great sing-along song, or background song during dinner and cocktail hour that all of the Pop fans will definitely recognize. Number 3 is “Astronaut In The Ocean” by Masked Wolf released January 1, 2019. This is a great Hip-Hop song to play during the dancing part of your reception that will have everybody singing along and dancing. Number 4 came out on May 4, 2018 (so about 3 and a half years ago) but it is a very popular first dance song. It is “Beautiful Crazy” by Luke Combs. If you haven’t selected a first dance song, then definitely check this out.
Up at number 5 is a great Rock song, “Beggin’” by Maneskin released December 8, 2017. It is a great sing-along song, maybe not the greatest lyrics for a wedding but a lot of people will recognize the lyrics and sing along to this. At number 6 are two powerhouse ladies in the Hip-Hop genre, Saweetie and Doja Cat with “Best Friend” released January 27, 2021. This is a great song that you could play for a bouquet toss song, or even as a great song to get all the ladies out on the dance floor. At number 7 is one of the great modern R&B love songs, “Best Part” by H.E.R. featuring Daniel Caesar, released August 25, 2017. It is a great song you could play as your first dance song, or during any part of your wedding day.
At number 8 is a new Hip-Hop song by Latto called “Big Energy” released September 24, 2021. This is a great party song for Hip-Hop fans and one that will get everyone out on the dance floor. Speaking of the dance floor, modern Disco maker The Weeknd is at number 9 with “Blinding Light” released November 29, 2019. This is a great dance tune, and in case you didn’t know they actually filmed the video on Las Vegas' Freemont Street in front of the Plaza Hotel. At number 10 is the K-Pop legends BTS with their new song “Butter” released May 23, 2021. You know, Country is known for creating great stories with their music, and at number 11 is “Buy Dirt” by Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan which was released May 21, 2021. This is a great song like I said, that tells a great story and would be an awesome song to play as a background song during your wedding reception.
At number 12 is the married couple with Ryan Hurd and Marren Morris with their song “Chasing After You” released on February 12, 2021. This is a romantic song I see being played as a first dance song or any part of your wedding day.
