Police Officer's Life Changed Due to a Shooting on Domestic Violence Call. Shooting on Domestic Violence Call, How His Life Changed. His injuries from the shooting are not visible. It motivates him to help others heal.  The domestic violence call was anything but routine. Shots were fired by the suspect and it quickly turned into a life or death encounter. When the suspect shot at him and other officers, he was pinned down. He states that the point blank shot came close enough that it wiggled his ear. Altough cut from broken glass, he thought he was fine.  Kevin Donaldson a retired police officer is our guest. He talks about the life and death incident, how PTSD impacted him and his family.
