If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”Now, for a guy who built the theory of relativity, Einstein sure had a simple approach to genius—storytime! Now, Einstein wasn’t joking. He believed in the power of stories—not just for entertainment, but for building curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Fairy tales, with their dragons, forests, and glass slippers, are a child’s first passport to other worlds. And guess what? Those early journeys through books can shape how a child thinks for the rest of their life. So today, if you’ve got a little one around, take five minutes to read them a story. Even if they ask for the same book for the 93rd time—there’s magic in repetition. And if you don’t have a child nearby, revisit a childhood favorite yourself.
