We know that wisdom begins with a respect for God, and we’re told that gaining wisdom is as sweet to the soul as honey is to the tongue. The reward of wisdom isn’t fame, wealth, or power—it’s that you don’t lose hope. In a chaotic world, without wisdom, it’s easy to lose hope, even if you have success.Verses 15 and 16 remind us that moral actions matter. Proverbs doesn’t say that good people will never face problems, but it does promise that righteous people can survive hardships that would ruin the wicked.Think about this: The Bible tells us to be ready to share the hope we have.
