Welcome to episode number 62 of the Wedding Songs Podcast. I am Matt Campbell and today I'm going to be talking about the hot 50 wedding song picks of December 2021. Now, this is our second and final episode of December 2021. I hope you enjoyed all our episodes of 2021. If you prefer to listen to and read any of the songs that we discuss on our podcast, you can do so on our website MyWeddingSongs.com. This one, in particular, go to charts and then hot 50 picks. All right, so our hot 50 picks of December 2021, I'm searching out the internet, looking for the best new wedding songs that are being downloaded, and are on the music charts, TikTok, and streaming like Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music and saying, hey, these are the hot songs that would be perfect to play at weddings. I'm going to give these to you in alphabetical order.
And at number 1, it starts with an apostrophe so that's why it's at number one, and it's called “Till You Can't” by Cody Johnson released October 8th, 2021. This is a great Country love song that you could add to your background during cocktail hour or during dinner. At number 2 is another great background song by Tai Verdes called “A-O-K”, released May 6th, 2021. At number 3, is “All I Can See Is You” by Shane Smith and The Saints, released September 11th, 2015. I'm really not sure what brought this song back to the charts, or what I should say is taken it so long to get to the charts. But this is a very popular song that I'm seeing being downloaded. At number 4, of course, we are in the holiday season so this one turns around every single season and here it is Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” released November 1st, 1994. And if you're not familiar with the song, you've probably been hidden under a rock the last few years. I have to say that the one thing that's great about this song, is she actually wrote the words to this song.
At number 5 on the re-release of her album Red, is “All Too Well (Taylor's version)” released November 12th, 2021. This will make all the Swifties in attendance at your wedding very happy. At number 6 is a mid-tempo new song by Ed Sheeran called “Bad Habits” released June 25th, 2021. A great background song to play during cocktail hour. You know, very few Rock songs actually make it onto the list and this one has just been blowing up, at number 7 is “Begging” by Maneskin released December 8th, 2017. At number 8 is one of my favorite new Hip Hop songs, "Big Energy" by a Latto released September 24th, 2021. This song actually samples Mariah Carey's song "Fantasy".
At number 9 is “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd released November 29th, 2019. In case you haven't heard any previous episodes, make sure you do watch the video of this because it features Downtown Las Vegas and the lights under the Plaza Hotel. At number 10, is one of the most popular K-Pop songs. That is “Butter” by BTS, released May 23rd, 2021. At number 11 is a great family love song “Buy Dirt” by Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan, released May 21st, 2021. It's a mid-tempo song that you can even play as a first dance song, or accent any part of your wedding, like the money dance, or the cake cutting. At number 12 is Ryan Hurd's first number one song, with his wife Maren Morris, “Chasing After You” released February 12th, 2021.
At number 13, making a return from June 21st, 2013, is the song “Classic” by Mkto. This is a great introduction song that you could play as you're...
