This shows a contrast between saving lives through honesty and the consequences of deceit. God sees lying as a serious offense, and we've learned that dishonesty leads to destruction.Earlier, we learned that the fear of God is the start of wisdom. Here, it is also described as a safe haven. Fear here is better understood as "awe," "respect," or "amazement."Who are God’s children?
