Allowing free speech is a recognition that people have the right to their own ideas, opinions, and values. Allowing free speech respects human dignity and self-determination and people's right to think for themselves and have open communications with fellow human beings.Here's how the fake categories of hate speech and misinformation can be weaponized against a population: over time, what qualifies as hate speech or misinformation can and will change. In an emergency or crisis (whether real or fake flag), the category of hate speech/misinformation will always be expanded by those in charge to stifle their opposition.This is the last thing that you want during a crisis or during the run-up to a crisis. Instead, what you need is an open public, national dialogue.That's an essential part of democracy.
