Dog Shot and Nearly Killed,  Helped Transform Lives. Who Rescued Who? Star helped this former Corrections Officer heal from the trauma of prisons and helped countless others. Star the dog was lunging at people after her person suffered seizures. Police shot the dog, fearing that Star would injure people. Initially thought to be dead, Star survived and was adopted by Corrections Officer, and NY native Charlie Cifarelli. Charlie Cifarelli is our guest, he talks about the traumas he endured as a Corrections Officer, in addition the scars of his upbringing. Charlie also discusses how Star the Dog came into his life and helped him heal. Not only that Star became a celebrity and helped countless people heal and overcome their adversities.
