On 9 February 2020, 25 year old Ingrid Escamilla was found murdered in her home. She had been stabbed to death by her partner, and then horrifically mutilated. It was just the beginning of one of Mexico's bloodiest years ever. Femicide in Mexico is at epidemic levels - and the link between the rampant murder of women, corruption and cartels is undeinable.
