Oregon might have just made its biggest statement on the recruiting trail since the arrival of head coach Dan Lanning. Five-star Detroit (MI) quarterback Dante Moore announced his commitment to the Ducks on Friday, giving the Ducks the top remaining quarterback in the country for 2023.Moore instantly becomes the headliner in Oregon's class which is now rapidly closing in on USC in the Pac-12 rankings. The Ducks landed Moore over fellow finalists like LSU, Texas A&M, Michigan and Notre Dame. He's the highest-rated quarterback in program history, passing Ty Thompson from the 2021 signing class. This was a super impressive job by Dan Lanning, Kenny Dillingham and the entire coaching staff, especially after missing out on other big-time quarterbacks like Nico Iamaleava and Jaden Rashada earlier on in the cycle. Moore's commitment is truly historic and will likely yield more impressive commitments for Oregon as we navigate the summer and the prime commitment season that is July.Max Torres and Graham Metzker break down what Oregon is getting in their new quarterback of the future and what this means for the Ducks.Like, subscribe and share the Ducks Dish Podcast wherever you find us!Connect with our Oregon Ducks coverage on other platformsWatch this episode on YouTubeSubscribe to Max's YouTube channelFollow Max on TwitterFollow the Ducks Dish Podcast on TwitterFind more Oregon Ducks content on Fan Nation's Ducks DigestLike and follow Ducks Digest on Facebook Learn more about your ad choices.
