650: "All Bets Are Off. Automatic Promotion is Back On" - Season Restart Podcast No. 1
The Championship is back. In principal anyway. Clubs up and down the country are getting ready for a season restart on the weekend 19th/20th/21st June. The Beesotted crew of Billy TheBee Grant. Dave Laney Lane. And Matt The Allard Allard reconvened in The Virtual Joint - with chirpy birds - to discuss the forthcoming matches. And with a shout from the joint that "All bets were off" and "Teams were just as likely to drop out the Top 6 as they were capable of making the Top 2" due to the incredibly congested fixture list coming up - with a raft of Saturday, Tuesday games on the horizon - there were a plethora of questions that needed to be answered:Will the season actually start? Or will it be voted down a the Monday 8th meeting? Will Brentford hold onto that playoff place. Or could they even sneak an automatic spot? Will home advantage - with no fans - take a hit? Will teams still be able to travel overnight to away matches? Will the season open up where it left off - with Brentford playing Fulham at Craven Cottage on the Friday night on TV?Will any matches be played at neutral venues for fear of fan congregation? What happens to players who refuse to play past their contract expiry date of June 30th - like Lyle Taylor of Charlton. Are they right to have taken that stance? Why are QPR and Mark Warburton not happy with the restart date? Are we expecting more injuries? What date can we expect the league to finish and playoff final to be?How will fans be watching matches seeing as pubs will not be reopened? Was the FC Midtjylland idea of 2000 cars in the stadium car park watching the game being beamed back on big screens a good idea?Who are we looking at for promotion ?Who is the biggest relegation candidates? What are we going to watch after Ozark?Don't forget to vote for Beesotted in the Best Podcast category at the Football Content awards by clicking here - https://bit.ly/FCAsBees20Or you can vote by tweet by clicking here - https://ctt.ac/tcT3e Hosted on Acast.
