Man, I loved this conversation with Carrie Hoffman of Bigger Life Adventures! I was sold with sustainable travel, but this conversation is SO much more- Carrie lives the sustainable lifestyle - She lives on 10 acres in the mountains of Arizona! You can probably hear (and hopefully can tune out) the crackly sound, but she lives out in the open and that's our reality - if you can let go of that sound, you'll get her important messageAs a Trauma Informed Yoga Instructor, Carrie takes her role very seriously. She takes her retreats all over the world, to inspiring, peaceful and SLOW paces, to let the body calm and remember what peace feels like.A part that really stood out for me was that she goes to some of the same places; they form relationships with the residents, and support them as well - not overwhelming them with thousands of tourists - it's more than just money, after all. She talks about the amount of litter left after cruise ships leave. She is very mindful of so many things . I loved this message that Carrie was hoping you would gather from our conversation:"Yoga is more than just a physical exercise you do in a studio. Being a yoga means being aware of your impacts on others and the world around you."And also this: "I use travel as a way to open people's eyes to climate change and global inequity ..."This is a big conversation, and I absolutely loved it.
