The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) North Carolina Chapter today announced that it will receive $67.8 million to conserve and restore peatlands, resulting in significant reductions of carbon dioxide emissions. The money is part of an historic $421 million grant award from the Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants program.
