Ten years ago, ‘Salvator Mundi’ was unveiled to the world, its owners insisting it was a long lost Leonardo Da Vinci painting (as in...the guy who painted the Mona Lisa). It sold at auction for $450 million, making history as the most expensive piece of art ever purchased. But what most people don’t know is, this precious ‘historical’ painting had been found in a garage and bought in a small U.S town for $1100, before being extensively ‘restored’ by an expert in Da Vinci artworks.
