Hello everybody and thank you for turning into the Wedding Songs Podcast. I am Matt Campbell and you are listening to episode number 46, today I am going to be talking about the Hot Wedding songs released in April 2021. If you prefer to read the list you can do so on our website MyWeddingSongs.com. Just go to charts in the main menu then Best New songs. If you have any questions about any songs on the list, you can reach out to me on the website. While you're there, make sure you subscribe to our monthly newsletter. Just go to the main menu and click on subscribe, and then you'll be signed up for a monthly newsletter of all the new wedding songs released in the prior month that you could play at your wedding.

Let’s go ahead and get started with the first song on the list. Just like we do every month we talk about all the new songs that were released in the prior month. I am going to start with the oldest song first (the one released on April 1st) and work my way to the last day of the month. I have 29 songs to cover today and unfortunately, I can’t play samples, but you can listen to samples on the website. It is a copyright thing, so you know I want to make sure that I am legal. I will try and give you a little background on the songs while I am going thru them. So let’s get started.

The first song on the list, released on April 1st, is “Too Soon” by Cooper Alan. This is a great Country love song that you could add to your playlist. Next up is one of my favorite Indie artists Ron Pope. On April 1st he released “My Wildest Dreams (Lullaby Version)”. I really love this song as a processional song because it starts out slow and the words are very romantic. Next up, released on April 2nd, is Mansfield and Company with “So Beautiful”. It is a little Folksy Indie song you could play. It is not for weddings but it has a great love song story. Next up is one of my favorite love songs on the list. Released on April 2nd is “Amen” by John Adams. This is a great Singer-Songwriter song to play at any part of your wedding or reception, any time you want to capture romance. Next up, released on April 5th, is the iconic Isley Brothers and their new song “Friends & Family”. What is great about this song is it really celebrates coming out of quarantine and celebrating with your family and friends. What is great about the Isley Brothers is that they were on a recent episode of the TV show Versus against Earth Wind and Fire and they actually won. It is a great episode you have to check out. In case you have forgotten, some of their other hits include “Shout, It’s Your Thing, and This Old Heart Of Mine”.

The next song on the list was released on April 5th and could be considered a little controversial. It is “Sunset” by Demi Lovato. This song talks about trying to keep your significant other from leaving, but the way the words are you could have this as saying goodbye to your family and sharing your love for each other as the sun sets. Just demons on how literally you want to take it but I really love this song. Released on April 7th is a song called “April 7th” by Maine. This is a Pop Alternative Rock song that is mid-tempo and I think would be perfect for the background during cocktails or dinner. It would keep things a little more lively. The next three songs were released by Taylor Swift on April 9th. They are known as “Taylor’s version”. She rereleased these songs on her Fearless Retake Album.
