We review Rob Zombie's latest horror film 31, Now Streaming as part of The Harold & Maudecast's Halloween Horror Movie Reviews!
It's Halloween Eve and five carnies are kidnapped and held hostage by Father Death (Malcom McDowell) and forced to play his and his friends annual twisted game of life or death called 31(think Running Man). They have 12 hours to hide and survive or fight for their lives against an endless parade of homicidal maniacs.
Horror and particularly Rob Zombie fans will dig this one. Despite the critics consensus, it's more coherent and sticks to a story more so than any of his other films. It's got everything horror fans wish for, blood, guts, crazy kills and fights, and a stand out performance by Richard Brake (BATMAN BEGINS) that felt a little like an audition for The Joker. Worth a watch for your Halloween horror fix. 7/10
