at 1:21 svetski sees no critical reason to run a node. he asks a one liner. the one liner I normally use is: “do you do a money transaction yourself or let someone else do it for you? if someone else does it for you they potentially know everything about you and your bitcoin. do you want to share this information? additionally you’re verifying and strengthening the the largest pleb payment network on the planet.” hope this helps svetski’s mom😉Great talk!

1/ SO much good in this episode. to begin: 'why run your own node?' ("1st class citizens") --> not your keys, not your coin. (we all get this) --> not your firmware, not your hash. (are you hashing??) --> not your node, not your vote (think: monetary policy / blocksize wars, etc). as Marty said 'participation'. but beyond that ... and beyond NGU ... there IS a war going on. it's spiritual (IMHO) and we need to pick our side. not with words, but with action. this is yet another GREAT ep. ke-keiaa

3/ ok, all girls schools Vs all boys schools. BOYS benefit from single sex/gender schools (thinking 10+ age), yet GIRLS benefit from co-ed (again, 10+) schools. Why? well, thats hardly the point (but to elaborate, boys get distracted, yet girls are ...) so what do we do here? a bit of a conundrum (IFF i am right in my assertion). 'home-schooling' is best, for those that engage in 'conscious parenting' and have the willpower/resources / dedication to our kids. ... .next (laterzzz)

Really illuminating, thank you Aleks and Marty. We all have our role to play in the change that is coming. I often think what kind of person ought I be in a Bitcoin future? What does Bitcoin thinking mean for me? My answer is training of the body through Jiu Jitsu and a 2 meal a diet, literature and the arts: reading and learning from the greats who came before me, in my practice: proof of work, being humble, and following the passion. It is all connected!
