U svibnju 2017. predstavnici Aboridžina i žitelja otočja Torresovog tjesnaca okupili su se nedaleko od Ulurua na prvom zasjedanju Ustavotvorne skupštine prvih naroda i donijeli „Uluru priopćenje iz srca za australski narod“. U priopćenju se poziva na uspostavu zajamčenog predstavništva prvih naroda u australskom parlamentu koje će biti uključeno u Ustav i na proces postizanja sporazuma s prvim narodima, te na iznošenje istine. Skupu su prethodili regionalni dijalozi sa zajednicama prvih naroda, a održano ih je 13 diljem Australije. U priopćenju se poziva na uspostavu odnosa prvih naroda Australije i Australaca zasnovanog na istini, pravdi i pravu na samoodređenje. Glazba – Frank Yamma. Foto – Jimmy Widders Hunt.
