Also since you asked I messed around with my nix config a little too much and would generate a huge amount of old generations on top of automagic daily updates that took place at 4 am thatbwas removed in an earlier commit. Anyways I'm off the nix train because theres a few business apps I need to run that Nix cant. glhf

So, my dedicated Emacs machine is actually my faith system76 lemur pro. It boots Gentoo Linux and hooks Emacs in a ratpoison window manager session (no exwm is not the best solution). I dont really "code" with emacs but almost exclusively use Org Mode for writing my d&d campaigns, work on my own website powered via hugo, writing notes and documentation, and often writing my ansible deployment scripts (aka automating gentoo instalations). For the record I dont work in tech, I work in logistics.

Whole home audio as a concept has ecisted as long as human history. So thete are plenty of solutions for moving sound. Rather than getting fancy with software might I present an alternative.... Pulseaudio network streaming and kodi. Why kodi? Becausr kodi has a rich app evosystem for remote controls and a webgui. Plus it supports plex, jellyfin, emby, and even aircast. This is a solution Ive been using for years now.

Chris Ive been living the ubiform lifestyle for 10 years now of just a plain white T shirt and jeans. My biggest recommendation is that you still have a few optional cloths like say a basic pair of khakis and a frw polo shirts because every now and again youll want to switch it up. But honestly, its been fine. Its honestly one less decision I have to make in the morning othet than "is this a pants or pajama day?"

1890 is the year Wyoming became a US state, but I use btrfs as my filesystem of choice and Chris, I onow youve used it before. I am curious if either of you know if theres a tool to report drive statistics like health and free space. I know btrfs can do this by itself, but Id rather get it in a GUI tool on a standard webpage or something if I could.

I think the best part of the live feeds are the conversations you and the community have. For example when the libadwaita changes dropped and we were all complaining about gnome then that gnome contributor came in one day and we had a good hour long debate between Neal and him. IMO content like that should be available somewhere. Even if it's behind a paywall. I often find myself comment on the live feeds more often than the shows themselves.

So I would like to interject for a moment and comment that this podcast does not contain any mention of Gentoo nor Emacs. As such I publicly challenge the next person who sends SATs to JB to install Gentoo Linux and daily drive it for a whole week. If they can prove that I will directly send them 5000 SATs with JB getting an additional 5000 SATs and giving them the right to declare the next boost challenge.
