Introducing The Punies, an eclectic group of neighborhood friends who play sports and take on adventures together. Created by NBA Champion Kobe Bryant and featuring original songs and an unforgettable cast of characters known as The Good Ol’ Gang, each episode shares important life lessons on how to play with joy and limitless imagination, the way sports should be played.
Know Your Teammates
In a rowing race showdown against the Oakies, BB takes over as the captain of the Good Ol’ Gang’s canoe. When her harsh leadership doesn’t work, Puny helps her motivate each member of the team in their own unique way.
Visualize
With a party at TidBit Fun Zone on the line, Pete learns some visualization techniques from Lilly to picture his gymnastics routine so he can stay focused under pressure.
Sharpen Your Axe
BB rushes her way through the first two BMX races, to poor results. If she wants to win the third, she’ll have to take Gordon’s advice to slow down and “sharpen her axe before cutting down the tree.”
Trust Your Skill
Gordon thinks he needs a lucky superstition to do well in the Home Run Derby, but BB knows he already has the skill required to hit the winning homer.
The Power of Problem Solving
Lilly struggles to complete her special “Dazzling Dress Dunk” for the mini-hoop Slam Dunk Contest. If she’s going to win, she’ll have to get creative and learn from her mistakes.
Channel Your Anger
When newcomer and ex-Oakie Viktor starts making unfair calls in the Gang’s tennis match, BB must figure out how to deal with her frustration.
Swim Your Own Race
With her mom in the stands at the swim meet, BB worries about how her opponent’s are racing and loses her first few races. With a little lesson from Puny, she wins the last race by focusing on her own effort.
Can't Win Alone
In order to prove she means business, Lilly takes over the volleyball game, aggressively going after every ball. With a little help from her teammate BB, she learns to win as a team.
Straight Talk
Puny Pete tries to help Lilly with her struggling golf game, but doesn’t want to hurt her feelings. BB helps him learn the value of constructive criticism and being honest with your friends.
They Go Low, We Go High
When the Good Ol’ Gang’s lacrosse match against the Oakies starts getting physical, Gordon tries to keep his cool and take the high road to avoid hurting the team.
Righteous Rivals
It’s Rivalry Day as the boys take on the girls in a surfing contest. Puny tries his hand at trash talking, but soon realizes that true competition is about bringing out the best in each other – not tearing down your opponent.
Push Through It
It’s Field Day in Tidbit Park as Puny and the Good Ol’ Gang look to win the day in the final event, the mile race. Puny and the Gang push themselves mentally and learn that sometimes winning doesn’t mean crossing the finish line first.
Trust Your Crew
Lilly’s home-built scrap car may not look the safest in the big Soapbox Derby race but Puny knows if they want to have any chance of winning, he has to trust his team completely.
The Inner Animal
In a physical game of ice hockey against the Oak Street Oakies, Puny unleashes his inner animal. He then finds out the difference between controlled aggression and bad aggression.
It’s All Downhill From Here
Puny is on the sidelines coaching the Good Ol’ Gang in an intense game of basketball. When he realizes BB’s mind isn’t in the right place, he steps in to change her perspective.
You Gotta Fall to Land
During an extreme skateboarding contest, Puny wipes out and is afraid to continue. Lilly helps him understand that before he can succeed, he has to learn from his failures.
Be Aware
With his dad watching from the stands, Puny tries his hand at quarterbacking the Good Ol’ Gang down the field. When distractions and pressures get in the way, Gordon intervenes to save the day.
Read the Field
Puny steps in to play goalie for the Good Ol’ Gang on the soccer field. After a rocky start, BB helps Puny learn to trust his instincts and read the game.
Make a Splash
In hopes of impressing Lilly and winning an invitation to her big birthday bash, Puny has to think outside the box to overcome his fear of heights in the high-dive competition.
Take a Swing
When thrust into the spotlight at the local baseball field, new kid in town Puny Pete Dawson realizes it’s time to step up to the plate. With the game on the line, he decides to go big or go home.
