In November of 2019 she was consecrated as a Bishop in the Church of England and installed in Canterbury Cathedral as the Bishop of Dover with the responsibility of looking after the diocese of Canterbury on behalf of the Archbishop of Canterbury. In 2007 she was appointed as a Chaplain to Her Late Majesty the Queen and in 2010, she became the first female appointed to the position of Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons.
