3539 – December 19, 2024 – Christmas Wishes – These are changing times – perhaps some are good and perhaps some are not so good… or maybe I’m just getting “set in my ways.” As you all know, this year’s Thanksgiving was a full house for me, which means next year will not be. I wanted to make things as fun and memorable for all especially the children… as they are making great memories amongst themselves. A memory I have from childhood is the Sears and Roebuck Wish Book – we would go through that book until the pages were frayed or falling apart. WELL, I (current resident) received a wish book of sorts just before thanksgiving gathering – it was small… but a wish book none the less… from Amazon! When I showed my youngest son, he said, “Yeah, my girls already received one and have it all marked up with “wants and wishes.”

So catalogs change BUT kids do not! With want and sparkle in our eyes, we’d mark page after page and item (toy) after item…. Mom woul
