This episode includes anecdotes from her time in England, studying and gaining practical experience in the hospitals there, as well as some of her more sociable adventures, particularly her deepening friendships with Lady Byron and Florence Nightingale. Eventually, she must leave England and return to America to begin her practical work as a doctor in New York.
