TVP #227: The John Galts of Journalism [The Bitcoin Bugle] w/ Richard “Dick” Greaser & Rod Palmer

The Vonu Podcast

On this episode of The Vonu Podcast, I am joined by Richard “Dick” Greaser and Rod Palmer of The Bitcoin Bugle.

We cover the most important topics in bitcoin and freedom: the Intellectual Silk Road, how they found their podcast producer, Kailey Welch, the importance of credentialed journalists, if there are enough bitcoin podcasts, the recent (S)election, and much more.

Please enjoy.

SHOW GUIDE:

  • Introductions and Richard’s takes on technical difficulties
  • How they found their podcast producer, Kailey Welch
  • Richard got involved in politics for the first time; he didn’t vote, but he endorsed Chase Oliver
  • Overview of The Bitcoin Bugle; Richard considers himself the John Galt of journalism
  • Rod highlights the critical importance of credentialed journalists and why The Bugle Weekly and credentialed bitcoin podcasts are essentially the Gospel Truth
  • Are there enough bitcoin podcasts? Dick and Rod respond
  • The intellectual Silk Road (ISR)! What is PodConf?
  • Create your own secret society/cabal, and join the ISR! It’s like our own 33rd degree of Freemasonry, though instead of fundraising, we boost each other’s podcasts on lightning and boost songs on WavLake
  • Want to join the intellectual Silk Road? Hope you’ve never been to any Diddy parties
  • Is Dennis Porter a part of PodConf? And more importantly, who the fuck is Dennis Porter?
  • Lyn Alden: what are The Bugle’s views? Does she have two ears? Etc.
  • If you haven’t seen both of Lyn Alden’s ears, you haven’t listened to enough bitcoin podcasts
  • We take a music break with a song from Dick’s new album, Stay Misinformed, titled, “Ayn Rand Says Smoking Is Good 4 U”
  • The Bugle’s impact and insights on the (S)election
  • Me: At this time every year, I remind folks that the President isn’t selected by popular vote, but the electors — and that, to have an impact on the election, you have to influence them…
  • Maybe I was wrong. No, the people you have to influence are those who are friends with Diddy and Epstein.
  • Richard: To essentially have any change in the (S)election, you have to either go to a Diddy party, or send someone to go for you
  • Rod: The economy is fine; bitcoin is at ATH’s; the Middle East is fine; the takeaway is that democrats suck so much that they decided to give Hitler a second chance
  • Me: small government Republicans and even libertarians are happy with the next government program to get rid of seed oils, glyphosate, etc., even though they are horrificly aware of how awful of an idea that is
  • Me: as usual, as per the founding of this country when going from the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution, “the people” choose socialism/coercion, and not the free market
  • Rod: Murray Rothbard would be really happy knowing the government is going to remove seed oils and fix our food
  • The only real important “promise” that Trump has no reason not to fulfill is pardoning Ross Ulbricht
  • Rod: the moral of the story is that if you sacrifice enough and simp for a politician enough, you might get one person out of prison
  • Richard: Tobacco is inherently anti-communmist, anti-authoritarian
  • How to use lightning: Boltz.Exchange is a site to exchange on-chain bitcoin for lightning bitcoin — Zeus Wallet is the best wallet available
  • Once on lightning, you can boost The Bitcoin Bugle, The Vonu Podcast, and boost their music on WavLake
