Transgenderism is an important issue. And yes, it can be a divisive issue. But that’s primarily because the right purposefully makes it a divisive issue. I know, because I come from the right, and I used to do that myself. The right calls transgenderism a mental illness and says transgender people should be eliminated. But there are more of us who understand, and I was late to this, that transgender men & women are every bit as real as straight and gay men & women. And we need to speak up.
