Hey everyone I’m Pastor Gary Hoban and welcome to episode 68 of Refinery Life radio /TV.
Our goal here is to release a 2-3 minute video / Podcast each day, designed to challenge you and get you to spend more time with God.
Today we are going to talk about, Live in the Spirit.
Colossians 3:2 (ESV)
2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
When Jesus walked on the earth, no one would have considered Him a success.
He wasn’t wealthy or politically powerful.
Yet no life has been more influential, for Jesus taught people a new way to live.
“Success” to Him was not wealth or power, but a deep and abiding love for God.
His message was unique, love your enemy, pray in secret, turn the other cheek.
His listeners had never heard this before.
Jesus told them not to be satisfied with external conformity to the Old Testament, but move toward an internal conformity to the character of God.
Jesus presented a whole new paradigm to the first century audience.
Some of them struggled and rejected His message, but others embraced His words and placed their faith in Him.
Jesus’s message has not changed.
His plan for our lives is unique, especially amid a culture that does not follow His truth.
As His messengers to a lost world, we must be willing to live our lives according to His principals.
In all we do, we must chose words and actions that reflect the transforming power of His Word.

I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word.
When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer.
Theres nothing thats too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
