It was hard to avoid the headlines when a social media storm surrounded Algerian boxer Imane Khelif at the Paris Olympics earlier this month. After her first round opponent, Italy's Angela Carini, quit in a flood of tears just seconds into the bout, Khelif faced attacks over her gender. Misinformation quickly spread online and reignited the debate over gender and sports. But the real story of Imane Khelif is one of dignity and honour.
