Final Flight West is the last trip with my father, a navy and career pilot, as we navigate through the early signs, diagnosis, his death and the aftermath of his Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia. While I supply some resources, I wrestle here with what it feels like to walk through a terminal illness that causes many mini-deaths and losses for years before the final goodbye.
