i have given up wheat and have been eating mostly keto meals. I find that i do not miss pasta too much. i like to make alfredo or any other pasta sauce and mix it with whatever meat i want. turns out the pasta was just diluting the best parts. this 'alfredo soup' is delicious. i like to make things i would have traditionally eaten as a hot sandwich baked in butter. for example, i put butter, pulled pork, ham, pickles, dijon mustard, and swiss cheese in a dish and bake it

For hiking, building up core strength is just as important as leg strength. remember that even if you are in good shape, it takes a couple weeks to get your hiking legs, so take your time. i saw a documentary on the AT and decided to thru hike the next summer. i did this without practice hikes and only trained about 12 hours per week. For most people practice hikes will help quite a bit. if you are on the southern end i like the roan mountain area for a tough and rewarding practice run

Expert Council Q&A for 3-24-23 – Epi-3276
The advice to do a trial hike to a primitive campsite before going on a multi-day backpacking trip was gold. As a former wilderness guide I 100% agree and recommend taking the gear you plan to use for the big trip (packs, shoes, tents, etc) and practice with it. Set up and tear down camp a couple times, pack your pack multiple times and carry it around for awhile, practice throwing a bear rope, starting your stoves, maybe even practice helping each other out in 1st aid scenarios. Have fun!!!

Convincing people to swap Visa for Bitcoin is like convincing them to abandon Microsoft for Linux. Calling them Boomers won't bring them around, sadly.

Great show! It got me thinking about my time in grade school, back in the 70's. when i learned all about the great industrial revolution. i think we are in the midst of a great financial revolution. where digital currency will become the new norm.

John and Jack Spirko have no clue about Infinite Banking. They don't understand how money, and credit works and how the banking function works. Banks make money on the spread between paying interest on deposits and interest on credit for mortgages, auto loans, business loans etc. If you could recapture the interest you pay out to 3rd party institutions you would be miles ahead in terms of wealth creation and interest and tax savings over your life, but these guys refuse to understand this.
